Arc Flash and Shock Protection Training This course focuses on Workplace Electrical Safety and the effective management of electrical hazards of arc flash and shock. The course applies content from CSA Z462 Workplace Electrical Safety Standard, provides guidance on applying a Plan, Do, Check and Act philosophy when working with energized electrical equipment, and reviews Occupational Health & Safety Regulatory requirements. This course qualifies for 0.5 CMP credits. (3 hours $95+HST) Register
Confined Spaces Safety Awareness This course will introduce you to the types of confined spaces and the associated hazards. You will learn about the activities within a confined space, and codes of practice. Different types of hazard controls are presented including engineering, administrative, and protective equipment. (6 hours $100+HST) Register
Construction Safety Training System (CSTS-09) This course is an interactive computer program with a wide range of construction situations. It provides an excellent tool for worker safety training in the Construction Industry. It consists of 15 video modules and corresponding tests which take approximately 6-8 hours to complete. Individuals can take the course through the internet on any computer (home, library, work centre, etc) or at our office, at their own pace. (approx. 8 hours in total $65+HST for members & $65+HST for potential members) Register
Communications, Negotiation, and Conflict Resolution The course has been designed to help improve the written, oral, and negotiating skills of estimators, superintendents, and project managers who must deal effectively and professionally with employees, sub-trades, owners, clients, engineers, and their employers. This course earns participants two credits towards Gold Seal certification. (6 hours $150+HST) Register
Construction Project Management This course is designed for project managers, superintendents, and estimators. The course covers business case development, procurement, contracting, risk management, and project close-out. This course earns participants three credits towards Gold Seal certification. Construction Law This course is designed to teach and familiarize owners, managers, supervisors, and project managers with construction contracts and contract law; liabilities and responsibilities of all parties to a contract, compiling and submitting proper extras and claims, and ways and means for leaders to avoid conflict with contracts, owners, trades, and labour. This course earns participants five credits towards Gold Seal certification. (6 hours $150+HST) Register
First Level Supervisor Training Program
Strong supervision skills are key to any construction project. This comprehensive online training program offers the critical basic skills and concepts needed to supervise a crew in the residential, institutional, commercial, industrial, and civil construction sectors. The Course uses activities, and quizzes to reinforce the learning. (6 hours $400+HST) Register
Ground Disturbance for Supervisors (Level 1 & 2)
This course is designed for those individuals who are planning, supervising or otherwise participating in trenching and/or excavating operations. Learners will gain the tools and knowledge to safely complete the work and avoid a potential pipeline hit. The Ground Disturbance for Supervisors course is aligned with Enform's IRP 17; including worker and supervisory levels - level 1&2. (3.5 hours $90+HST) Register
Introduction to Building Information Modeling (BIM) NEW COURSE As Building Information Modeling (BIM) is adopted by more and more companies in the construction industry, its usefulness has expanded beyond the original design phase activities. This course positions BIM in the context of all phases of construction illustrating how to maximize BIM as a tool for the entire construction team. You will see how BIM fits into the construction workflow. It introduces the BIM philosophy in design, bidding, construction, commissioning, delivery, and as-built stages of construction. National Construction Safety Awareness Construction can be a dangerous industry to work in! You work with tools, equipment and vehicles that require special training and consideration, and you work in environments that call for tradespeople to be constantly aware of the potential hazards to your health and safety. This Construction Safety Awareness course was developed by the construction industry as a national course to give you an overview and encourage a general awareness of the health and safety issues you'll be faced with on any worksite in Canada. Pipeline Construction Safety Training (PCST) The Pipeline Construction Safety Training course teaches the pipeline worker how to respond to worksite health and safety issues by taking the user through the entire pipeline construction process from beginning to end. (6 hours $100) Register
